Do you accept international credit cards on thehindushopping.com?

Our overseas customers and Non Resident Indians can use their International credit cards to make payments for their orders. We accept all American Express, Diners, MasterCard and Visa credit cards (Indian and International) and also various Indian and International debit cards on the store.

How safe is it to shop online with a credit card?

At thehindushopping.com, it is safe to use your credit card to make payment for your order.

thehindushopping.com uses the latest encryption technology to ensure that information is transmitted from your browser to our servers safely over the Internet on a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) link. In fact, we have a secure digital certificate from Verisign Inc., one of the world's largest secure digital certificates issuing company.

All your personal information like user name, passwords, and credit card number, transaction history are encrypted so that they cannot be read as it travels over the Internet.

Further, at thehindushopping.com, we insist on you entering the CVV (Credit Verification Value) number on your credit card. This is a 3-digit number, which follows your credit card number and is given at the back of the card. In other words, even if someone has access to your credit card number alone (this is possible since you leave behind this number every time you transact with your card anywhere, including physical stores / outlets), they cannot use it to transact at thehindushopping.com without the CVV number.

Can I purchase items from different stores in the same order?

Yes, you can order items from multiple stores in a single order. This is one of the many conveniences in shopping online at the thehindushopping.com supermarket.

Can I ship different items in the same order to different shipping addresses?

Yes. In case you have (say) 5 items in your order across various stores, you can assign different shipping addresses to one or more of these items. What’s more, you can assign each item to be delivered on different dates.

How do I check the current status of my orders?

You can review the status and other information of all your orders, whether pending or fulfilled, that you have placed with thehindushopping.com.

To check the status of your pending orders, click on the “My Account” link in the top right of any page on our store. This will take you to your My Account page, where you can click on the “Track Your Pending Orders” link to view the status of all orders that have not yet been fully delivered. To view the status of a specific order, click on the “Order Number”. After your order is shipped out from our warehouse, we will send you a mail with the shipping details.

To review the details of orders that have already been fulfilled, you can click on “Review Your Purchase History” link on your My Account page. To get the details of a specific order, click on the specific Order Number.

My order is shown to be in 'Pending Authorization' state. What does it mean?

Your order passes through several states before it finally enters the 'Delivered' state after it is delivered to you or to the shipping address you entered while ordering. The following are the states through which the order goes through and their meanings:

Pending Authorisation : Your order has been logged on the store. We have yet to get the authorisation from the bank or we are waiting for the bank to get back to us with the authorisation of your payment.

Authorised: We have received the payment approval from the bank and we are about to begin the processing of your order.

Being Processed: We have started the process of procuring the items in your order and are waiting for them to be delivered to us.

Ready to ship : We have procured the items in your order, have packed the items and will handover the consignment to our delivery partner for shipment.

Please note:
The status will move to "Ready to ship" immediately after authorization for certain items that are shipped directly from our sources although they will be processed and shipped only as per the specified shipping duration mentioned against the item while placing your order.

Shipped: Your order has already been shipped out of our warehouse and is on its way to your delivery location.

Delivered: The order has already been delivered to the delivery location specified by you.
